Jack sits in the library, brows furrowed in concentration while he tries to decipher one of the Dwarven books on magic. 5,000 years is a long time and the Dwavish is not safe from changes over time.

A slight fey woman steps into the library, her movements too smooth to be human, too smooth for even an elf. She stands almost 6 feet tall, her red eyes flickering of their own light. Dressed in flowing, almost silk like robe material that flows around her, with a red tone to everything. She notices Jack sitting at the table and purses her lips. Her eyes gaze down at his book, then back up to him, judging, weighing. A small puckish smile crosses her face, followed by a quizzical wrinkle of her nose. She glides up to Jack, and sits down on the opposite side of the table for him, her eyes watching intently."You speak dwarven?" Her voice containing similar musical tones that Miffle's does, while she is easily 30% taller than Miffle.

Key walks into the library and stops looking around. Seeing Jac shevwalks over to the table he’s at. “Hey, Jac who’s you new friend?” She extends a hand to the other elf. “I’m Keyleth, you can call me Key if it’s easier.”

"Yes, I picked it up while helping Captain Argus barter with various trade caravans. Most people think it's a harsh language but I find a beauty in the up front way it sounds. I'm Jack, what's your name?"
"Key! I'm just finding that out."

“Nice to meet you Ember. Are you the Librarian? If not maybe you could answer a few questions?” She looks over at Jac. “Im not interrupting you am I?”

Ember glances between the two others, her young face belied by the very old eyes watching them."I am sorry, there are no librarians here. However, Jack has already figured out how the library works. If a book wants you to find it, you will find it." Her chuckle has a musical tone to it.
"I can however help you with a drink if you like." She motions to a flask she carries, as she pulls it out and takes a drink.

"You aren't interrupting at all. In fact it's good to take a break before I start dreaming in Dwarvish again. Heh."
"That's an interesting throught Ember. I'd have said I found the book but you have a point that the book found me. I'd be delighted to join you in a drink. Drinks and tales are the best way to start a friendship, right?"

Key takes a seat next to jac, taking in her surroundings as she does. She smiles at Ember. “No thank you, Im fine for now.” She looks over to Jac then back to Ember. “So how does it work? I just think of the book I need and it just appears? I really could use a book about the aasimar.” She closes her eyes, a worried look on her face.

"Hmmm... Books are a rarity on a ship because there isn't a lot of personal space. I just grabbed some that looked likely and here we are. How is our friend, by the way?"

Ember erupts into an extremely infectious and mirthful laugh. As she sits down it takes several moments for her to get her laugh under control. She turns towards Key and with a truly positive smile motions at the library."I need to help, you are too cute to not help." Her chuckle continues with its musical tone, as she motions towards the books drawing a book back to the table.
"You still have to go up to the books, but I like that idea and I will convince Veronwe to make it so" She hands the book to Key.

Key opens her eyes, smiling at Ember and looks at Jac her expression morphing into sadness. “He’s the same, and I don’t think we can stay much longer. I know he’s in good hands here but I’d feel better if he woke up and told me so himself.” She shrugs, then shakes her head, putting a smile back on her face. “So, until we need to go, I will learn all I can about whatever is going on with him.” She takes the book from Ember and looks at the cover. She reads the title, lifting an eyebrow. She leans back in her chair and opens the book. “Thank you Ember. You wouldn’t happen to know anything about an Aasimar going through their transition would you?”

"I don't like leaving a mate behind either, but I don't know if we have what it would take to help him through this time. Better to leave it to those with more physic and holy skill." Jack, turns to listen to what Ember might say.

Ember smiles sadly at Keyleth."Each Aasimar's journey is a different story. However, this sounds like it is a surprise to everyone and that is unusual. Aasimar's that are reborn are very rare." Her smile fades.
"The fact he didn't tell you he had a guide, usually an angelic creature, to guide him is troubling. It means he is walking his path alone. Of course it all depends on the gods that are interested in him, on his own actions and beliefs. Although from what Veronwe told me, I think your friend will be ok." She reaches over and pats Jack and Key softly, reassuringly.

Key stands up and starts pacing along the shelves closest to the table. “What form would the guide take? He does have this littke kitten that hides in his armor. In all the time we’ve known him its not grown at all. It has to be magical in some way.”
