Key’s expression is nonplussed. Her eyes flick to Rabbit and she makes a tiny almost imperceptible gesture that says ‘its okay’. She stands, stacking her things as she does.
“Rabbit will you keep an eye on my things? Luke needs to have a word. If my breakfast comes, if you could have them keep it warm for me that would be great.”
She smiles and strides out of the taproom.

"Well I certainly... I dare say we've just met and it seems like we're off to a bad start already. Of course I remember everyone's name, I never forget anything. Is she always this abrasive? I certainly meant no offense." Reggie looked after Keyleth in a most puzzled fashion, but then his face lit up as he turned back to Rabbit and continued, "A minstrel and a scout you say, I've read about a similar group called the Harpers in a far away land. Minstrels always have the best stories. You must allow me to document your travels at some point. I could call it 'Elfsong - Tales from the Desert'" He seemed rather pleased with himself but then his eyes fell as the server brought over a tray of lukewarm rubbery scramble, a rock-hard biscuit, and a scalding mug of something vaguely resembling black sludge.
"Eggs. And coffee. Call 'em what you like, Arnold or Bennie or whatnot. And a biscuit from last night. Enjoy." Reggie looked crestfallen as he observed the plate before him. He pulled a finely-crafted silver utensil from his pocket and poked the eggs reluctantly, shuddering as they quivered slightly. "I'm suddenly not hungry..."

Rabbit's gaze falls back on the gnome. She thinks for a few moments as he chatters on and she gives him a softer smile. "She will warm up to you, she is a pushover. She has had some family issues lately.". She takes a sip of her drink, "I will tell you what. If you promise to show me everything you write about us and let me tell you what can't be printed, I won't have a problem with you recording. We have many enemies and I need to make sure that she isn't endangered by it."Her gaze moves onto the eggs and biscuits. "Is that supposed to look like that?" RABBIT

Reggie frowned, jabbing at the vaguely yellow stuff on his plate before sighing and rolling up his sleeves. He glanced around conspiratorially before raising one tiny eyebrow at Rabbit. "Err, I can't really say. I suppose some sustenance is better than none. When in Rome, and all. *Ahem* prepare to be amazed!" The wizard raised his hands dramatically and wiggled his fingers at the food, waggling his eyebrows comically for effect. "Sapicus! Sentire! Calorem!" With each utterance tiny motes of dust seemed to gather from the air and glow as they touched his fingertips. With a soft *ffzt-pop!* the faintly glowing dust scattered, and an entirely different, delicious aroma of fried eggs and bacon began to rise from the plate as the formerly lukewarm food began to steam. Reggie tapped his fingertips against his chin rapidly "Hmm... not quite there yet. Ah!" and he reached into a small pouch at his waist, pulling out a bit of fluff and rubbing it between his fingers. As static electricity built up in the fluff the plate slowly transformed into a lovely golden mound of eggs piled atop a rasher of bacon and a biscuit. "And that is a true feat of magic. Turning bar food into something edible. Egg?"

Rabbit watches the wizard cautiously, her eyes going up to him, then down to the food then back up to him. When he turns to her and offers her egg she just looks at him passively then shakes her head. "I always found scrambled eggs disgusting, Not sure why.". Her gaze moves back to the food. "What else can you make? oh and do you agree to my terms, letting me read everything you write about us before sending it?" RABBIT
