Key wanders into the taproom from the stables, having just checked on the horses. She’s humming distractingly to herself but the look on her face is troubled. She lifts a hand and absently and starts to scratch at a healing tattoo. When she realizes what she’s doing she stops herself. She sits down at a table and pulls out a quill and parchment from her bag. She calls for a barmaid and orders food and drink, then bends her head and begins to write.

Te'teh wanders into the tavern, she spies her friend and saunters over looking like a cat that found a mouse. She sits down.
“How are you doing? Feel like maybe finding some entertainment?"
She turns and starts admiring some of the more attractive looking men in the room.

Key’s eyebrow’s draw together.
“Define entertainment.”
She cranes her neck, trying to see what Teh’ Te is seeing.

Te'teh smiles at the large, rough looking sailors and shrugs, her eyes turn to some of the more fair looking females and that same appreciative smile is there.
“A few hours spent when you don't remember who, what or where you are, just enjoying the situation until it is over."
She shrugs to herself, watching the other people.
“I guess it is different for everyone, but I highly recommend distractions when a breakup happens. Get your body doing something and your brain will disconnect for awhile."

Key laughs a bit uncomfortably. Her eyes are on her friend.
“I really appreciate the thought, but Im not sure that kind of distraction is my thing. Im more of a throw myself into my work kind of girl. That’s kind of what I have started to do.”
She gestures to the stack of things in front of her. She looks around the room at the men and Women scattered about then back to her friend.
“It looks as though you’ll have your pick though. I may go out for a ride later if you are interested. I have food coming are you hungry?”
She smiles at Te’Teh.

Te'teh turns to Key, she gets a serious look, the bantering smile fades.
“I apologize, I am not good with emotional situations, which this is, and I fall back to petty distractions that are unthinking of other people's situation."
She lowers her head.
“I will try and stop distracting that way. I want to be here for you, and I don't know how to help. To be honest I have never been in a real full relationship so I don't even understand how this works. However, I shouldn't let myself get distracted and be a bad friend."

Key puts down her quill and her eyes fill with tears that never fall. She smiles, then abruptly gets up and hugs the young tiefling. The embrace is over almost as quickly as it starts and she is back in her seat.
“There isn’t a wrong or a right way to be a friend. I appreciate you are here for me, it means the world. Maybe some day I’ll be ready to blow off steam the way that you do. You are an amazing person with a good heart and I’m glad that I know you.”l

Jack enters the taproom, looks around and seeing Te’Teh and Key at a table walks up. Saying, "Hello, may I join you," as he expects the answer to be yes begins to sit down.

Te'teh eyes become huge as she is embraced, a cat unsure of how to respond. However, she doesn't pull back and by the end gives an embrace back. As Key sits back down Te'teh watches her with concern.
“I am here for you."
She stops talking and freezes when Key talks about her being amazing. Once Key is done, Te'Teh gives her a big smile.
“I know I am awesome... so what we doing about the Luke and Rabbit thing. She is free, he is wavering around and she is being quiet. That or we can go gamble if you don't want to talk about them."

Te'teh's smile becomes huge on her face, all the way up to her eyes as she sees the sailor sit down.
“I would make space for you anytime."
With that she moves over so he can sit beside her.
//ooc I am sorry I must have been typing my response same time you were.

Key winks at Te’Teh and motions to Jack to sit.
“You are always welcome. We were just talking about letting Rabbit and Luke figure out their own relationship.”
She smiles broadly at the tiefling, humor in the lines of her body. She turns to Jack.
“How was your evening? Did you sleep well? How is the new ship?”

Jack takes the seat kffered by Te’Teh and replies, "I had a good evening, restful sleep and all. Though I have to say I’m not a fan of hot climates like this. Being in a port makes it better. When we were out in the desert the heat made it difficult to sleep."
Pausing for a second he adds, "Yeah I haven’t seen good come of meddling in others affairs. Luke and Rabbit are good people and can figure out their way."
"How long are we planning on staying here in Port Said? I had thought to see if I could make a connection with Tsovinar via the bowl but last night it occurred to me that I would have an even better chance over the open water."

Te'teh nods at the comments about the heat.
“It definitely gets too hot out there, I don't like it. I wonder if there are no drow under the desert, that seems like the worst place to live if you are an underdark person."
She realizes she is being distracted by thoughts she leans over and pats Jack on the back of the hand.
“I think the only reason we are here is you, I think we all thought you wanted to stay over. I am definitely willing to leave this place anytime you all say you want to leave."

Key listens to Jack and Te’Teh.
“I think that we can leave when ever your ready Captain. I think we all are eager to head for home. If you give me a day or so I’ll grab Rabbit and sell the horses and wagon. I’d like to keep the horse that the tribe gave us. Is there a way for us to take the horse home with us?”

"I did want to stay but as I said I long for the fresh air and a bunk that properly rocks when I sleep. Take the time you need, Key. I’ll use that time to stock provisions for the journey back to Kokand and personally inspect our ship. We can easily take the horse with us. With Rabbit’s skill at keeping the horse calm we shouldn’t have any trouble. Heck, the hardest part will be mucking out the stall. Heh."
