Key nods, seeming to take what Anglerond says to heart. She smiles as he finishes speaking obviously ready to give him a bad time.
“Huh, well I can’t say as I’ve been to any of those establishments myself. But whatever floats your boat I suppose. Your so old that they probably aren’t there anymore anyway.” She elbows him.
“Im more than happy to give you the tour.”

Anglerond shocked face is only marred by the smile lines behind his eyes and the humor in his gaze.
"I am shocked m’lady, perhaps you would like to wheel me down to the pensioners ward tonight...
Besides the places I am sure are there, but maybe it’s their granddaughters now.."
Anglerond smile fades only slightly as he looks at Te’Teh’s very young visage. His eyes turn back to Keyleth.
"You will understand things about the younger races in a few hundred years and aging. Such a quick life, so bright but short. Makes true friendships hard after your first or second set of young friends."

Her face gets a bit sad.
“I suppose your right. But in the mean time, they are bright starts in a beautiful night sky. And I do so love the night.”
She smiles.
“Tell me where else you’ve visited. I know you’ve been all over the forest, and Kokand.”

His smile returns fully
"I of course spent a lot of time in the forest. I have served two campaigns in the reunification war in the desert trying to bring the desert elves back under our flag. I have gone three times east to the jade empire as a diplomatic escort and fought multiple campaigns against the orcs.
He looks up towards the sleeping rooms on the second floor.
"I mostly though spent numerous campaigns against the drow in the underdark or more preferably up under the sun. The Underdark is truly the most dangerous place I have been.

Key’s eyes light up at the mention of the desert elves.
“You make me feel as though Ive lived a sheltered life.” She shrugs.
“I guess I have in a lot of ways. Can you tell me morw about the desert elves? We met with a tribe while we were there. They gifted me with a horse.”

His eyes grow distance as he remembers.
"I don't have a lot of positive experiences there. It was in the time of your adopted great-grandfather and I was a very young soldier. He was attempting to align and bring back the power of the Elenren line with a new Elven Empire. The Anfauglir Roch Tura are a proud race. Built in tribal units they have performed warfare against themselves and their neighbors since the breaking. I found that they have some very beautiful people who are kind to strangers."
He takes a large gulp of his tankard.
"They fought incredibly bravely, I cannot say anything negative about their courage, or the love for their own people. However, we were sent as butchers. In the beginning of the campaign we won handily, but treated the locals cruelly. We eventually pushed too hard and showed too little mercy that even the children fought us. Most of the "Army of the Return" were destroyed before we got back to the coast. The majority of the people I grew up with and went on campaign did not go home physically, and out of the survivors only a fraction returned mentally".

Keys eyes are sad for a moment. She places a hand over his and speaks softly at first.
“Im so sorry. I can’t imagine what that must have been like for those of you that were lucky enough to come home.” She removes her hand and gains an air that might be queenly some day.
“I want to unite our people, my people. I’d like the Angluifur Roch Tura to choose to be a part of that. Do you think it’s possible to unite the elves without bloodshed?”
Her eyes are serious.

Anglerond playfully smacks beside Key on the table, it was a last minute adjustment to what was obviously a playful tap on her.
"Do not be sad. It was a long time ago, and the Horse Lords were tough, but the drow wars were much more brutal. That would have so many blood curdling stories for you. You will find a lot of hate from some of our people for your friend. What happened to her in Arborlon was playing."
He looks at her a bit more seriously.
"That is a loaded question. Do you mean all the elves or just our people. If you include desert elves... maybe but you would have to do a lot of diplomacy and probably fighting their enemies to get them to join. If you want drow, that will require a war. A lot of blood to reunite all of our people. As for our smaller groups of people that all depends as well."
He thinks a little more,
"Although maybe you wouldn't have to kill other elves. If we truly are in the end times and we are invaded again, maybe we can align with the other tribes. Once the war is over and we are victorious we take the opportunity to topple the rulers of other Seldarine. That might work with the least blood shed on our own people. Either way though our people will bleed torrents to have it happen."

Key heaves out a heavy sigh. The weight of worlds on her shoulders.
“What good is this blood if it can’t unite our people?” She shakes her head and makes a slashing gesture with her hand.
“No, don’t answer that. It was a tantrum and not worth a dignified response. I just have all these hopes and dreams of a united elven kingdom, living in peace. I also know that peace is purchased with blood.”
She starts to drum her fingers on the table.
“As far as this being end times, I think I can speak for the whole group when I say thats not going to happen.”

Anglerond smirks at Key
"I have no doubt you and your band of ragamuffins will be victorious. Hopefully I will be here to help."

Key looks like she’s been slapped.
“What do you mean ‘hopefully’! I hate to tell you this but your in it for life sir. If I have to drag your ass around I swear to you that you’ll see the end of all this.”
She smiles broadly and slaps playfully at Anglerond’s shoulder.

Anglerond shrugs playfully with the same jovial smirk.
"It all depends on what you need."

“Well lets start with your sword arm while you can still use it.” She gives him a wicked wink.
“Even after that Im sure I can find some sort of work for the rest of you.”

Anglerond smile remains but he has a slightly more serious look.
"You will always have my sword arm."
He smirks even more.
"How do you know there is anything but a sword arm left? Maybe the rest of me was badly disfigured in a fire? "

Key’s face goes a bit red and she sputters.
“Uhm, I asure you that it would make no difference to me” she smiles.
Inspiration lights up her face and she sribbles something on her plans.
“Subject change incoming. I was going to put your room to the left of mine and Rabbit to the right. Does that work for you?”
