His smile lights up even more at Keyleth's addressing of him. His jovialness can't seem to be suppressed by grumpy tavern goers. He walks over and as he gets close the light of table highlights a faint glittering of silver and black as the stubble on his face reflects the light and becomes evident this close up. The ladies can tell he probably hadn't seen a razor since he left Arborlon months ago.
"It is good to announce loudly your presence, so death knows she can go away, she has no victim waiting here for her today."
He walks around the table watching the parchment and design drawn on it.
"I see someone is busy. Are your plans starting over with the change in household?

Key swivels her attention back to Te’Teh.
“That is a fantastic idea. Why did I not think about that before? Maybe we should take a field trip to the site. Ive never actually been there and it would be nice to have a better idea of how much space we are working with.”
She looks down at the plans on the table critically then back up to Anglerond.
“These are plans for the house we’re building here in Kokand.” She squints at him her playful smile returning.
“I suppose... as head of my personal guard you should have some input as far as the safety of the layout.” She lifts a challenging eyebrow at him, her smile broadening.

He shrugs and smiles again. Then he looks cautious as he asks
"Can I give one piece of advice? I got to watch King Elenren design several buildings. He usually started with a list of what he needed before visiting the site. He said he tended to forget what he needed when out on site. Just don't tell him I told you that."
Anglerond gives her a reassuring smile.

Key nods her head.
“That is a good idea.” She pulls another piece of parchment out from under the others and starts a list on the blank sheet.
“Is there anything you think I should add to the list?”

He smiles at her response and looks at the list.
"Before we do anything you need to decide what this home is specifically for and what you want it to do. Is it a trade post, is it a place we wan't to be able to defend with, or present ourselves as open and accepting. How many people are going to live here. Once I know those things I can give you some suggestions."
Anglerond leans in closer to Key and Te'Teh.
"By the way, I think you are going to do great."

Te'Teh's smile hasn't left her face, she orders a drink and turns back to the two.
“Have we confirmed how much space below your house that Rabbit secured for you? I really think we need to be able to move you unseen in and out of the house, unless you want to deal with hanger ons following you everywhere."

The smile never leaves her face, but uncertainty flashes in her eyes for a moment. It disappears as quickly as it came.
“Its on a bluff near a lighthouse. The location itself is quite defensible. I would like it to be as open and inviting a place as we can make it without compromising safety. There will be the 5 of us plus I assume that if Reggie is still with us he will live there as well. There will need to be a steward and a staff as well.”
She turns to Te’ Teh.
Rabbit hasn’t said how much she was able to secure. We should know that to before we visit I suppose.”

He smiles at her response and looks at the list.
"Multiply that number by at least 5. If you are known to own it you will want a guard, and over time I suspect a sizable guard. Not for you personally, but to defend what you own. I get the impression the best we are going to get as guardian of you would be a handmaiden and myself unless you have me doing other things. I don't see you tramping around with a household, so low numbers is better to travel with."

Key listens intently while Anglerond speaks. Her expression goes unreadable for a moment when he says ‘other things’. She crosses her arms over her chest.
“Okay, noted. We’ll need a barracks. And a stable.” She pauses for a moment, fixing him with a stare.
“I am capable in a fight myself. I know you have yet to see it, but in a lot of ways Im better than Arthurian ever was.”

Anglerond looks worried he might have offended Key.
"Oh, that isn't what I meant to imply. Your sister talks an awful lot about you to me and your brother, more to me I think. It has been made very clear you are equal or better then Artherien is, or was. Something is different now so I can't make that determination. What I worry about your defense is either a silent blade you don't see, many nobles who are masters of magic or swords have ended this way, especially drow or those that work with drow, and many others are overwhelmed by superior numbers. Even with you, me and a guard, there is always a point where too many opponents means we would die My hope is to keep you mobile, but still effective in combat.
He looks up at the stairs leading to the sleeping rooms.
"This doesn't even include your storm mage or cat cleric. Those add a lot of options as well and just your little group is enough I think."

Te'Teh's makes a dismissing motion with her left hand.
“She is in no danger now. Very few people know who she is, and most of them wouldn't recognize her out of context. She is just part of an adventuring company who pays dues to the Adventurer's guild just like everyone else. She is totally safe."

Key’s look softens a bit.
“No offense taken, I just had realized that you had never seen me fight. I assure you its like nothing you’ve ever seen.” Her smile goes soft and lazy for a moment before she looks to Te’ Teh.
“No one knows who I am for now. But I suspect that given a bit of time for gossip to travel that will change. The horse tribe in the desert knew who I was without my telling them.”

Anglerond smiles.
"I have heard about the eastern styles of fighting. I never went over when we did the Reclaiming Crusade, I was one of a few kept back to watch over the forest. I would love to see it, maybe spar and learn from you. Is it something like the drow dancing style? That is the closest I have come."

Te'Teh's sighs
“Am I the only person who thought it was weird they knew who you were? It wasn't like images of you were passed out ahead of us."

“I was just as uncomfortable with their knowledge as you were. I think I may try and do some research into their oral history and legands. Maybe write a letter to the members of the order that we met over there.”
She turns to Anglerond.
“We’ll be going back at some point and I assume you’ll be with us. My fighting style is only slightly like that of the drow. But I only base that assumption on what Ive seen Rabbit do. I actually use more weaponry than a traditional monk would. I’d be more than happy to spar with you, but you have a bit of experience on me.” She smiles mischievously and gives him a wink.
