Key exits Nestrim’s tent and loops an arm with Anglerond’s. She moves in close so that she can lay her head on his shoulder as they make a circuit of the clearing. She’s content to walk in silence for a while. When she does speak her voice is soft and far away.
“Im going to miss having you around all the time. Have you started your new duties with Nestrim yet?”

Anglerond seems to be enjoying the quiet time with Keyleth, ensuring her head never jostles as they walk. When she speaks he sounds rough, like he isn't looking for to that either, "You will be so busy you will hardly miss me. As for Nestrim, he is definitely utilizing my skills in ways I didn't even consider. This will be interesting and I am not even sure if I object or not yet." He kisses her head, "Your mother gave me an extra stone to communicate with you, she wants to make sure that your group has as many as they need, but she wanted me to stay in contact."

Key lifts her head and looks up at him as they walk.
“That’s great! I can bug you any time I want now.” She elbows him playfully.
“I will miss you for the record. But Im glad that your enjoying your new role. What kinds of things have you done so far?”

"For the record, I might miss you back." He kisses her nose, "Right now I am meeting dozens of people. I am not sure how court people do it, the names kind of mix up in my head with the wrong faces sometimes. He says he has more important political stuff for me, but he needs everyone to know who I am and who I am with first."

Key groans in sympathy.
“I know what you mean. There has to be a spell to give you perfect recall. Maybe I can ask one of the mages in Arborlon to make one.” She chuckles.
“Nestrim is a good babysitter. He’s getting both of our feet wet as slowly as he can.

“I never realized how hard this job is, harder in some conditions then being s ranger." The look on his face says he is only joking s little, "
“I would have never imagined five years ago Nestrim talking to you or the group let alone caring for you as much as he does...”"

She wrinkles her nose.
“Why not? Was he very different?” She smiles fondly recalling a memory.
“I think Luke may have had a bit to do with his change of heart.”

“Absolutely Luke did help his change of heart, still trying to figure out what changed yours" he hesitates as he thinks about his next words, “Forgiveness and acceptance of someone who you don't get along with isn't what I would say would be in your wheelhouse. What made you change your mind?"

Key pulls away to look at him with and more than a bit of hirt at being confronted wit one of her short comings. She keeps walking for a while obviously thinking about the past and trying to analyze her actions. She looking at the ground ahead of her as she walks and doesn’t look up when she starts to speak.
“Glorian had a lot to do with it, but not in the way you think. He never asked me to reconsider my opinion of him. Quite the opposite I think in a lot of ways he reinforced it. But when things fell apart on the island I had nothing but time to think on the long trip home.” She glances up to judge his reaction then back down at the grass in front of her.
“I knew I would need to marry but this time around I wanted it to be with someone that I knew I could never love. I also wanted to stay a part of the Elenren family so I had every intention of coming home and asking Nestrim to marry me. I guess you could say on the ride home with all that time to think my resolve to hate him softened a bit. If I was going to marry him I would need to interact with him.” She stops talking an is quiet for a few moments. Then she takes a deep breath and looks straight ahead.
“He was very different when we came home. He was full of sympathy and compassion. It was a surprise. I had created this ugly image of him based on that first meeting and there was no room in all that hate for soft emotions. Nestrim shattered that image and I was able to look past that first impression and into the heart of the real man beyond it. When I realized I wouldn’t need to marry right away I was given the time to get to know him better.” Her head swivels to look at him for the first time since she started her story and her eyes are full of emotions, sadness being the prominent one.
“What sort of hypocritical bastard would I be had I not been given the opportunity to change my mind about him. It the only good thing that came out of that marriage and Im holding onto it with both hands. Im so great full that I was given a second chance at a relationship with him.” She smiles and the sadness vanishes like the morning mist.
“Its one of two reasons why Im so adamant about second chances and the fact that everyone deserves them. Rabbit is the other.”

Anglerond reaches out and caresses Key's cheek softly, he looks ashamed. “I did not mean that in a negative way, and I apologize for how I stated my question or that I even asked it. You are a good person, you obviously do forgive, otherwise Rabbit and Night Scale would not travel with you. You did that before you ever had to deal with Glorion or possibly marry Nestrim. That means it was there the whole time, and I was a dick in not thinking it through. Will you forgive me?"

She smiles warmly.
“There is nothing to forgive. I was just surprised by the question mostly. Ive never really thought it through logically before now.” She takes his arm again as they walk.
“My master used to always say ‘always keep your eyes open. Lessons are never delivered in the ways you expect’. I had my eyes closed for a while there.”

Anglerond stops at one of the servant spots with hot tea, he pours Key and himself some of the beverage, he seems to be watching the maiden who is about 20 feet away out of the corner of his eye. “I think tomorrow you should visit with Amal, take Luke with you and see if we can establish something. I don't think anything but lies will be said, but on the off chance its would be worth it."

Key takes the hot beverage and wraps her hands around the cup as if to warm them. She takes a slow sip before she answers.
“Which one is Amal? The male drow right?” She smiles at the handmaiden behind her.
“She is with Rabbits sister I think. I wish there was a way to let them know that we could free them if they wanted. I think Luke and Silkjah would love to help them out.” She says the last just loud enough for it to carry to the handmaiden. She shifts her attention fully back to Anglerond.
“I want to talk with all three of them. Do you think I will have the best luck with Amal? Will you be offended if I don’t take you along?”

Anglerond chuckles good naturedly, . “Amal is Rabbit’s sister. You are right Salkya and Luke would love to fix them. Rick is the male drow and of course Izzy is Izzy. I completely understand if you don’t want me to come, I could betray my distaste and that isn’t good for you.”

Key keeps walking sipping her tea.
“Thanks for clarifying.” She shakes her head.
“Eventually I’ll be able to keep it all straight. Honestly, of the three she’s the one that could be the most unpredictable. I think Rik is out for himself and whatever power he can attain. Izzy, I think she may actually want to work with us. Amal, she’s doing a good job of keeping us a bit off center.” She makes a subtle nod to the woman following them behind her. She sighs.
“I want to have hope, I have hope. Im also glad I have a few people around me that can give me another point of view.” She smiles and elbows him.
