“That’s fantastic! It will be nice to have a space that is all ours.”
She pauses considering.
“Im going to need to start taking extra jobs between all our stuff to pay it off. I can’t wait to see it.”
She miles broadly at Rabbit.

Rabbit just looks at Key blankly for a few moments, then gives her another smile.
"I see someone has no experience around queens. Queens don't pay for anything."
Rabbit shrugs her shoulders "I have worked for Sobhan for 40 years and not spent more than what I needed to. He is a very generous master. The costs are covered in full, with what your mom has already sent and what I contributed you should be set up."
Rabbit looks over at Luke, "I think I might have found a charity to contribute to with the rest of my money. I do this for a life because I am good at it, it sings to me, and I couldn't do much else. I can't sit and do nothing. The money is generally irrelevant to me."

Luke nods, "Most of my extra money goes to those that need it as well. I'm hoping to get a school set up in the Warrens at some point. Just basic education for children, and maybe adults. I'm not the teaching type, and my money is too erratic to keep a teacher on. Maybe someday."

Key’s jaw drops in shock.
“That was so unnecessary and I will have to insist on paying back every copper. I know you won’t take the money, so I’ll donate to Lukes charity in your name.”
She looks over to Luke.
“How much to keep a teacher on full time?”

Rabbit chuckles at Key. "Think of it as all the sisterly presents for your birthday that you haven’t gotten from me."Rabbit looks over at Luke, "when we get to Kokand let’s take a look at teachers. Let Key and myself help you."

"I have to find someone willing to work in the Warren's and find a location. I haven't really pulled it together behind a pipe dream. I'm more of a money mover and a healer, and don't really know how to do this. I just think education would be a good thing for a lot fo these kids," Luke explains.

Key is quiet, thinking for a moment.
“Well, here’s a thought. We should have some extra room at the new house right?”
She looks over to Rabbit for confirmation.
“We can carve out a classroom, somewhere in that large compound.”

"We might be able to use some of the house for that, or maybe use that space to shelter people that need a temporary home, but we will be better off securing space for a school and a clinic in the Warren or in the underground warrens. They don't live outside the warrens, they will feel safer there. Also if we have a school and clinic there it might spread some positivity in the Warrens."Rabbit smiles at Luke while still talking to Key "Besides, we can't get the big tree out of the Warrens, means we have to go into the Warrens... or at least I should."

"Yeah. I have to keep my endeavors in the Warrens where it's easier for my people to get to. Plus having strangers next to a reawakened elven heir is probably not good for attempted assassinations" Lukes says with a shrug.

“So what your saying is we need a field trip to the warrens to find a suitable place for a school and a clinic. I’ll add it to the to do list.”
She raises an eyebrow and smiles at the pair.
“Im not worried about assassins. I figure I’ll have to deal with them wherever I go.”

Rabbit smiles and rolls her eyes "There have been hundreds of attempts on my mother’s life. The thing she always has fears is commoner uprisings. They are far more brutal, and hard to survive. Besides maybe we can help the Warrents out overall.”

Key smiles grimmly.
“Good news there, I don’t have any commoners to stage a brutal uprising. So nothing to worry about right?”

"Simplicity has its perks. It's also a good way to remember that servants are people, and have a perspective on what they do and need," Luke responds.

Looking at Key "Definitely commoners will come on their own. The key is how you treat them.”

Key looks solemn.
“I never intend to treat them as anything other than people with feelings, wants, and needs. If I ever change that, you both have permission to kick my ass.”
