Key strides into the tent with confidence. She is wearing an outfit that is a cross between her normal monk attire and the more ornate dress you can see the other elves in her house wear. Its simple and unadorned with anything expensive. Her hair is worn long except for a braid that starts at each temple and is platted close to her scalp then left to float free with the rest of the hair down her back. She’s carrying a mug of something nonalcoholic and has a pleasant, relaxed expression on her face. She looks around for a vacant table and sits. She pulls out a small map of a portion of Kokand she’s been working on and starts to flesh it out. The way her eyes casually flick up and around the room every so often let you know that she is aware of the room around her.

Rabbit walks into the tent, a tension in her eyes, but her body is nothing but smooth flowing motion. She looks around the more than two dozen tables under the extremely large tent, surveying several households people scattered. Her eyes come to rest on Key, a flicker of a smile in greeting as she walks over and sits to the left of Key. She orders a drink from one of the servants she turns.. "You need to be careful traveling alone around here. If it was just the surface elves I wouldn't be as alarmed, but not with my people here.”

Key looks up from her project and smiles at Rabbit. Her eyes flick around the tent then back to her sister. Her smile is warm and lacks concern. She leans in so she can speak without raising her voice.
“Im not worried. I wouldn’t think they would try anything quite so overt. They seem to be more of the in the dark, back stabby type people. I also don’t want them to think that I fear them.” She kisses her forehead and leans back.

Rabbit watches two guard of another elven household until they look away. "They have no compunction about doing it openly if they thought you were either too much of a threat, or if you were weak. Especially Amal, she wouldn't even think twice. Please, I know you are able to defend yourself, but too many deadly things too close to you. Make sure Anglerond, Luke, a ranger or myself are with you. They don't consider Jack a threat, which means they don't understand our group so he is good to walk with, but take someone else as well.”
She smiles at her sister, "Did you and Anglerond get settled in your tent? I see that our servants have added privacy shades." She chuckles at that, "I apologize ahead of time."

Key smiles.
“I will make sure Im not alone. Although I almost want them to try something so that a lesson can be taught. I don’t know why, but Im itching for a fight. I may have to scratch that itch in another way.” She laughs st her own joke.
“We are settled, I take it the shades don’t block noise? I’ll have to keep that in mind.”

"I will ask your father or Nestrim for full privacy shades, those will give 100% protection from being overheard. I don't like them because you can't hear out and in a tent I am anxious being deaf to the outside. However, you have me next door so I think it would be fine to set yours up.”
She seems slightly disappointed, "Someone was a sleepy head this morning and wouldn't wake up."

Key laughs.
“Im sorry sister. Im surprised you didn’t wake him.” She reaches over and rubs her arm. She cocks her head thinking.
“I may make him my official herald. He’s good at it and seems to enjoy it. It would give him a way to be out front and talking when its needed or he wants to.” She makes another check of the room.
“Don’t bother about the shades. Now that you mention it, being able to hear what’s going on outside the tent gives me some peace of mind. Im not sure Anglerond would want to be deaf to what’s outside either. Not with our new guests about. Have you seen Kalil? I should check in wity him at some point to make sure he’s okay.”

Rabbit chuckles as she signals a servant for food, "Your sister and Night Scale have been keeping close company with Kalil. I saw the three of them wandering around some of the House Elenren tents. They seemed to be laughing, and Kalil was carrying something for her. Did you want me to have Kalil summoned here?”

A slow smile stretches across her face.
“I wonder what his standing with his tribe is.” She seems to say this to herself.
“Only if he isn’t otherwise occupied with the girls. I wouldn’t want to ruin anything for any of them.”

"He would have to have some form of high standing with his tribe, they wouldn't send someone who isn't capable of starting negotiations.”
She looks around and leans over, "Night Scale and Alluvia have not left each other's side since we left Kokand except for the island. I think Night Scale is confused and I am now wondering what is going on between those two girls. I will call for them a little while from now. They didn't come back to the tent until almost morning."

Key is obviously worried.
“Where were they? Not in the woods right?” She shakes of the feeling.
“Of course they didn’t. You wouldn’t have let that happen. Do you think they are involved? If they are it may not be a bad thing right?”

"I think right now it would be incredibly good thing to happen. They both are incredibly close friend wise. Alluvian doesn’t have to worry about NightScale trying to wrest power from her and will be incredibly well protected.”
She takes a sip and continues, "Night Scale gets stuff out of it too. Including being treated like a sentient and not evil creature. Alluvian has what seems an incredibly solid belief in duty, respect and protecting people so it will give Night Scale something to model. Night also gets some protection from those who hate her by her proximity to Alluvian. I would be a little anxious if they became serious and then had a bad breakup, but they both need to learn."

Key smiles at the thought of the two girls.
“It sounds like it would be a win, win. Im finding that Alluvian is much more of an adult than I originally thought. I don’t think any break up they might go through would be hugely catastrophic. From the few conversations Ive had with her I think she’s good with boundaries. Im happy for them.”

Rabbit chuckles, "It isn't Alluvian I worry about in a breakup. She will handle it fine, she has probably had a dozen or more relationships since she was old enough. I worry about how Night Scale would handle it. She isn't the easiest socialized person, and she hasn't ever had a real relationship other than what she has with us. This is her first romantic relationship. I think Alluvian can keep it from erupting though."
Rabbit watches Key, "Have you ever considered making Alluvian your heir until you have a child?"

Key leans back in her chair and crosses her arms.
“I have thought about it. Initially I thought it would all be to much for her but Im beginning to change my mind. She’s proving to be quite capable. She’ll have Nestrim and the manor if Im gone.” She goes quiet with thought for a moment.
“If I do do it, Im not going to brouch the subject until after we’re done with all this.” She waves her hand to indicate the current situation.
“How are you with your sister and your old lieutenant here. It had to have been a bit of a shock.”
