Izzy quietly steps into the larger Elenren tent unnoticed. Taller then Rabbit by at least 5 inches, and while not as shapely as Rabbit can be, she does have much more bosom then surface elves. She absentmindedly touches the long blade on her thigh, but she has foregone her armor or sword. Pulling her tunic down to be more presentable, she gazes around the tent assessing the smaller rooms until she finds the one she wants. She steps up and notices a small piece of wood hanging beside the door. Attempting politeness, she wraps loudly three times on it. "Luke... are you in your room Luke? This is Izz'iira Noqu'ndar, but it is probably easier if you call me Izzy. I wish to talk with you. I used to serve under Rabbit, we met yesterday and I have some questions.”
She waits patiently to hear movement or a response.

Luke is sitting crosslegged on a prayer rug crosslegged marking down unseen words in the margins of his prayer book. He tucks the battered book under his shiny new scale mail. In this current uncertainty he has decided to remain armored as much as possible. He also feels it's a statement on his friendship with his draconic friend, and his gratitude on the gifting of the scales.
He rolls up to his feet, slower than maybe he once would have, and takes. a long deep breath. Best to be tall. He might only be 5'10, but with his horns he was closer to 6'3". He wasn't sure if height battered for Drow, but he would take whatever edge he could get.
"Come in," he says and puts a smile on his face, hoping Rabbit is nearby.

Izzy steps in almost daintily. She turns and assess Luke in front of her. Standing to her full 5'4 or 5'5" height Luke towers over her without the horns adding in. Not intimidated, but still slightly wary, she gives a small smile to Luke, a playfulness in her eyes. "You are a big boy aren't you... I now see the initial physical attraction Riia... I mean Rabbit has for you. She always likes things bigger than herself.”
She looks him over once more, noting his armor, religious symbol and prayer area, "I am surprised that you are a paladin, or cleric. She has always had a love-hate relationship with religion." She extends her hands in greeting, "I am glad to meet you fully and with time to talk. I hope you don't mind, but I have some questions."

Luke smiles, and says, "Rabbit spoke well of you. I can't say that for a lot of the people she knew in the under dark. I might be able to answer some, but I have one for you. Is the Balrog broken?"

Izzy erupts into a musical laughter as she makes herself comfortable on the bed. She seems to intentionally avoiding touching the prayer rug or anything looking religious. "You mean Chath Clau? I wouldn't call him stupid, he is more... unconventional. He is as smart as you or I, but like many demons he has an eccentric view of the prime material plane.”
She pats the bed absently thinking, her face still pleasant and interested in her host, "That is your free question sir paladin, and I am more than willing to answer any questions for you, but I am here to see what is happening with you and Riia... Rabbit. I also want to know what is actually going on here on the surface. I have found I never get the real story when I talk to nobles."

Luke smiles, and says, "I was just wondering why he decided to come tell Te'Teh and I that he didn't know our fathers." Luke smirks when he says it. "You can ask your questions. I"m very protective of Rabbit, so if you want private details of her life, I will refer you to her."
He stands comfortably, and looks down at the Drow, "Ask away, though, and I'll ask you questions when I have them in return."

Izzy watches Luke. "I assume that he was addressing you and your other Tiefling friend that he hadn’t fought your family yet. He is fond of the devil-demon war and I assume both your non-mortal parents are infernal, meaning he hasn’t had the pleasure of killing your parents yet. He is weird like I said.”
She looks around a little. "Is she ok?”

Luke snorts, and says, "Well, there is actually a chance he has bumped into my father, but the balrog want's to take him out, he's welcome to it."
"I believe Rabbit is as okay as she lets herself be. She's healing," Luke says. His black eyes soften a bit.

Izzy smiles softly at Luke, very unlike how most would perceive drow to smile. "I have had the blessing to work with a lot of tieflings in the past in mixed units. People always say you can't tell how they feel because of their eyes, and I just tell them they haven't been around long enough to see them."
She looks at the bed, noticing Rabbit's bag at the foot, and some of her clothing scattered in a corner. "Can I assume you two are close? She would never keep any of her things in my room, so you must be. Have you found a...” She seems to struggle for a moment with a common word that would translate from drow, "handler?"

"People say a lot of things about 'evil' races that are based in ignorance," Luke says.
He follows her eyes around the room, and realizes this is not a visit to ask about elven nobles. This is Izzy checking on a woman she clearly cares about.
"We are close. I don't know what you mean by a 'handler' though. Rabbit is pretty capable of handling anything. She's a very small ball of death," he relaxes and laughs.

Izzy chews on her lip for a moment, watching Luke and thinking. She chuckles when he mentions the small ball of death. "Even with her mother, they always assumed she was too small and would be one of the first to die, they were so wrong."
She leans over, picking up one of Rabbit's tops and sniffs it, she looks up at Luke and it is at this point Luke clearly realizes that all drow must rely on senses other than their vision, it isn't just Rabbit with bad vision. His telling her that he was close to Rabbit must have made her choice on what she started saying next. "How much has she told you about what she is?" She waves away any objection on using the word what, "I realize she is now a 'ranger' or whatever, but has she ever told you the specifics. If you don't know what a handler is then I fear she hasn't. Is there anyone here that can stop her frenzy and bloodlust?"

"I know everything about who Rabbit was, and what she used to do," Luke says. He was the one who did the ritual to free Rabbit, and saw it all in his mind's eyes. "There are no secrets between us. She doesn't have a handler, or need one. She does have a bit of frenzy, but she's never hurt her team, or me. I usually just pick her up, and walk her away, but she responds to her friends as well."
He smiles, "I do think they let me approach first just in case, but none of us have any fear of Rabbit even when she is in a frenzy. It's much better since I broke her ties to Lolth, as much as could be. My sect can do that regularly if needed. Sekhmet would offer that to any handmaiden that chose to walk away from those ties."
Luke leaves the offer on the table as an implication.

Izzy smiles approvingly at what she assumes is a close relationship with Rabbit and Luke. "I would be careful, if she is in full frenzy she can kill even her friends, although if she lets you pick her up in mid frenzy, that is... unheard of, not even I could do that and we were considered unusually close. Although, I think you misunderstand what I was with her. I am not a handmaiden. Each handmaiden is assigned a person that oversees them that is not subject to bloodlust and who basically holds the leash of the maiden during her frenzy. I was assigned that position because I was a hopeful to move up into house ranks eventually and it was supposed to be a good temporary posting. Don't get me wrong, she outranked me in almost all things day to day, especially as my commander, but in the end I was the one trained in the commands to stop her and the other commands, although that is always... problematic once she gets going."
She cocks her head thinking about how a goddess could effect the handmaiden, "She underwent the River of Blood ritual. Lolth and her matrons came up with that little goody for their favorite pets, it keeps other gods or powers from completely breaking their hold on their valuables. I wonder if a goddess could just break it, I think you would have to do something about her missing heart though. Although there isn't usually much left after they are separated from their bloodlust, removing the demon usually leaves a mostly empty shell. Then again I haven't known a handmaiden to be held by someone in mid frenzy either."
She looks around expectantly, "If I am going to parch my throat telling you this much, I hope you have a drink in here?"

Luke reaches over to pull out a bottle of whatever his tent was stocked in, and pours two glasses, "Perhaps the stories you are all taught about handmaidens and their control and lack of it are exaggerations to keep everyone in line? Also, Rabbit was not a new handmaiden when I met her. She's had time to consider what she wants, and how she wishes to move through the world. I didn't know she was a handmaiden when I stepped into her frenzy. I was just a cleric that sought to help. She is a ball of fury and death, but it's not completely without direction. I doubt handmaidens life long enough to grow that level of introspection."
"We have an idea on how to get around that heart issue. I don't think it's insurmountable. Rabbit and our team have been 'busy' and despite how sure my temple is, I think Rabbit is not ready just yet to do it. It's always there for her when she's ready," Luke says.
"Why are your handmaidens not healed to full?" Luke asks.

Izzy takes the drink, there is a slightly sad look in her eyes. "You are right, I expected the assignment to be temporary, no more than 30 years, 50 at the most. Maidens are incredibly powerful, but they wink out as quick as they are made. It was unheard of that she has been a maiden for over 250 years, she scares her mother and the rest of the priestesses, they think she is blessed and is dangerous to them.
She looks at Luke's prayer area more closely, "She is probably scared. Handmaidens have a connection to what made them. It is always there. I guess Rabbit is unusual because she had some sort of connection before that, I never understood her childhood, I know she had someone who acted like a father, and before that she had things that talked to her, but she couldn't ever clearly talk to me about it. The fact she is willing and considering doing that is amazing."
She gives Luke a smile, "You know if you asked that from her personally I am thinking she might do it. She has doe eyes for you, I have never seen that with her."
